Animal Exploration & Discovery Week - Summer Camp Description

It's the final week of summer, and we’re going out with a wild bang at Animal Exploration & Discovery Week! This is your chance to wrap up an amazing summer by diving into the exciting world of animals. Whether you're fascinated by wild creatures, love learning about different species, or want to discover how to care for pets, this week has something for every animal lover.

Campers will get hands-on with a variety of animal-related activities, from learning about exotic animals in the wild to taking care of everyday pets. You’ll design habitats for different animals, and even participate in an animal behavior workshop where you’ll learn how to train and understand your favorite furry friends.

One of the highlights of the week is making your own natural bird feeders! Using simple materials like pinecones, peanut butter, and birdseed, you’ll create bird feeders to attract local wildlife, helping to support and observe birds in your own backyard or camp area. This activity is perfect for connecting with nature and learning how to care for our feathered friends.

As we wrap up the summer, you’ll also have the chance to meet real animals through a petting zoo visits, plus, get creative by making animal-themed crafts and take part in wildlife challenges that test your knowledge of animal facts and trivia.

This final week is all about discovering the amazing creatures that share our world, learning how to be responsible caretakers of pets and wildlife, and making lasting memories before the summer comes to a close.

Highlights:

  • Animal Habitats: Design and build your own habitats for different animals, learning what they need to stay healthy and happy.

  • Animal Behavior Workshop: Learn how to train animals and understand their behavior with fun, interactive activities.

  • Petting Zoo Visits: Meet real animals up close, petting and learning about different creatures in a safe and supervised setting.

  • Create Your Own Bird Feeder: Make natural bird feeders using pinecones, peanut butter, and birdseed to attract local birds to your area.

  • Animal-Themed Crafts: Get creative with animal-inspired crafts, such as making pet toys, animal masks, or wildlife-themed art.
