Penticton Safety Village Summer Camps

Penticton Safety Village is excited to share we will be holding Kids' Summer Camps this year at the Safety Village!!

* Ages 5 - 12 (children have to already completed kindergarten to attend.  They must be turning 6 years old by December 31).

* All camps are half days with drop off from 8:30 am - 9am and pick up from 12:30 pm - 1 pm.

* Weekly Registration is $175 with the exception of short weeks (July 1st & Aug 4th will be closed for stat holidays). Short week registration will be $140. That works out to $35 a day.

* Daily activities will include open bike time, arts and crafts related to the weekly theme, and group games.

Journey to the Stars Week - Summer Camp Description

Blast off into an out-of-this-world adventure during Journey to the Stars Week! This week is all about exploring the vast wonders of space, from the planets in our solar system to the stars and galaxies far, far away. If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming an astronaut or discovering the mysteries of the universe, this is the camp for you!

Campers will embark on hands-on space-themed activities like building their own rockets and space stations, creating planetary models, and even designing alien costumes for a fun, cosmic-themed costume day. You'll also explore the wonders of space through stargazing sessions, learning about constellations, planets, and the science of space travel. The week will be filled with exciting, interactive games and challenges, including space missions, team-building activities, and a "Mission to Mars" obstacle course that puts your skills to the test!

Highlights:

• Rocket Building: Design and launch your own mini rocket, and watch it soar high into the sky.

• Planetary Models: Craft your own models of the planets in our solar system and learn fun facts about each one.

• Alien Costume Day: Use your imagination to create and wear your best alien-inspired costume for a space-tacular fashion show.

• Stargazing & Space Science: Explore the night sky and learn about constellations, planets, and space exploration.

• "Mission to Mars" Obstacle Course: Work in teams to complete fun space-themed challenges and see who can make it to Mars first.

• Space-Themed Games: Participate in exciting group games like "Asteroid Dodge" and "Galactic Relay Races."
