Welcome to the Penticton Safety Village!

Summer's Wrapped Up — Thanks for a Great Season!

Our 2026 summer programs have come to a close, but Penticton Safety Village is still open for fun!

🎉 Birthday Parties — We're still booking birthday parties! Get in touch to reserve your date.

🎃 Halloween Event — October 31 — Mark your calendars for our Halloween event!

🏡 Public Access — Open most weekdays. Please check the calendar below before you visit, as some evenings are booked for private parties.

❄️ Winter Hours — With no construction planned this year, we won't be formally closing for the winter. We'll be keeping an eye on the weather to make sure the grounds stay safe for our youngest visitors — especially once snow starts hiding bumps and hazards!

Public Access

Public access is available when the Safety Village is not in use for our programs or private bookings, from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Below are todays hours, and the calendar shows the public hours coming up.

During Public Access times, no Safety Village Society staff are on-site and bikes are not provided, so visitors must bring their own bicycles and helmets.

Please contact the City of Penticton for any concerns during Public Access hours.

Who We Are

Penticton Safety Village is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Syilx, Okanagan Peoples. The Village has been a cornerstone of the community for over 40 years, providing a vibrant space for biking, events, and comprehensive safety education.

Managed by a non-profit organization, this unique mini-village boasts a network of streets, buildings, and a Fire Safety House. Each year, it welcomes thousands of children, offering essential lessons in bicycle safety, pedestrian awareness, and emergency response training, thereby becoming an integral component of regional educational initiatives.
